Russia will most likely join China's alternative to SWIFT which


will greatly alleviate being removed. Reading and listening to some podcasts, being removed from SWIFT was a known threat and Russia has been working on alternatives for some time. Here's a Yahoo article from 2019 discussing that.

And, if you read reactions on the SWIFT sanctions, there are a number of people saying this could also have a negative effect especially longer term on the West and primarily the US and our dollar.
